Cromlix House is a traditional Scottish hotel in Dunblane, Perthshire. Originally a grand Victorian mansion, the house sits in part of a 2,000 acres estate and is surrounded by parkland, forestry and fishing lochs as well as two mineral springs.
The hotel is a popular wedding venue and having hosted several professional shoots recently, was keen to use this new photography to promote the hotel and improve its image as a wedding destination.
I designed both a desktop and mobile version of the site to ensure optimised viewing across browsers. An evaluation of the site structure and Cromlix House customer base resulted in a homepage design that directs visitors to one of three areas in the site: Weddings, Accommodation and Dining.
The site makes best use of the new photography with large backgrounds images and carefully cropped shots to bring a fresh, modern look to the hotel.
